What you can do
- Write right-to-left Urdu text using the editor’s Nastaliq typography and immediate English-keyboard-to-Urdu mapping.
- Format documents with headings, text styles, alignment, lists, tables, pictures, page numbers, headers, and footers.
- Use page layout controls, Find and Replace, and Urdu, English, or symbol on-screen keyboards.
- Begin with a blank page or a sample letter, essay, poem, invoice, or job application, then edit every part for your own needs.
- Open supported text/project files, keep documents in browser storage, and print or save a copy for your records.
- Use Focus mode, rulers, dark mode, and zoom while editing.
How document storage works
At present, documents are kept in local browser storage on the device where they are created. They are not automatically uploaded to a cloud account or synchronized between devices. Clearing site data or changing browsers may remove locally saved documents, so export important work as a backup.
Who operates this website
Urdu Writer is an independent project. The site is not affiliated with Microsoft, Canva, Google, or any government education authority.
